I’m going to get a bit personal here, and talk about some changes my family is going through.
- I will be changing jobs - Going back to a part-time position with the Credit Union that got me started in the financial industry. This will put a strain on our budget, but our marriage will be happier and I’ll pick up a third job (blogging being my second) to make the ends more than meet.
- More focus will be put on Family Time - Right now our family feels like a burden because we work so much during the week (and Saturday in my case) that it feels like we don’t get any personal time.
- We have set a goal to start having children as soon as we have a home- My wife has chosen not to work, so my income needs to support all of us. (In a perfect world blogging would support us, but I’m not that optimistic right now)
- I want to help people with their finances - This includes you, if you are having financial trouble, leave a comment and we can discuss different ways you can better your financial situation.

10|Jul|2007 2Good for you. A lot of people lose track of what’s more important in life (which to me is family) in efforts to “upgrade” their finances. I don’t usually do this but do look up my post on Froodee on quality time because I think you will be able to relate to it.

10|Jul|2007 3AmyL - Thanks for the encouragement, I will be needing a lot for the next few months.
Hannah- I’m glad we’re on the same page, if I’ve learned one thing about finances, it’s not how much you make but how much you save that determines wealth.

11|Jul|2007 6Sounds like a tough decision. But if you are working for money, but unhappy then the money is of no use. Good luck with the job change and family.

11|Jul|2007 7so you made your decision! I’m sure your wife is so happy that you will be around more and less stressed. we wives like that sort of thing
And starting a family. What an amazing time that will be. I don’t know that there are too many things more stressful at times than children, but the payoff in how blessed you are can not be matched. congratulations on your changes. I pray that you will find this blogging thing to pay off.
