I don't currently have the opportunity to garden, but saving on canned food is great. A few weeks ago the local Food 4 Less had 8oz cans of tomato sauce at 10/$1. We bought the limit (20) and won't be buying tomato sauce for some time. Thanks for the tip of looking to stock up on soup in the summer. One concern on stocking up on frozen food - unlike canned goods there is an active cost to maintaining that store and the store is at risk if a disaster takes out your power, so don't go overboard.
