Fun Friday- Finding Free Stuff

With all of the students going back to college, there is all kinds of free stuff available to you and your family, and all it takes is a short walk around your nearest campus.
Yesterday I got or saw the following for free:
- 6 month’s cable internet service (the technician gave me a big guy’s number and I got to pretend I was angry, free internet for 6 months though, that’s $360 savings for me.
- Frisbees- of various sizes and for different organizations.
- A free sub at cousins, all I had to do was put in a bunch of fake info on a credit card application.
- Free pop-ice popsicles (I was actually handing these out)
- Several garage sales had a “free” bin too, these can contain all manner of wacky things, I got a pair of glasses with one eye on a spring that pops out… WACKY!!!
- There was also a cheap furniture sale, coffee table for $3? SOLD!
What kinds of free stuff have you found lately?

12|Sep|2007 1Have you ever heard of Freecycle(TM)?
People want to get rid of things and post them there. It’s a worldwide effort split into local groups. Also Craig’s List has lots of free offerings. You can get some good stuff, you just have to look. With Freecycle, you can ask for items too.
